Our superior room was really nice, with new, very comfortable beds. The food was very good, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. They cleaned the room every day. We came for Spring Bank holiday week and I can’t think of a bad thing to say. The quieter setting suited us, while Torremolinos was still an easy enough walk away. The C1 train was a ten-minute walk from the hotel, and we used it for Malaga, Benalmadena and Fuengirola. We’ll definitely return.

The food was fresh and delicious every day, with something for everyone. Staff were consistently professional, friendly and helpful. I was very satisfied with my stay. The rooms were clean and well kept, the location was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. I’d happily come back and highly recommend this hotel.

Gema handled our arrival at reception with real care and professionalism. The check-in was thorough and informative. Unlike some colleagues checking in other friends from our group, she gave us six towel cards altogether, so we could exchange our towels during our 14-night stay. If you’re staying at the Occidental Playa Torremelinos, ask for Gema at reception! : DP

We joined all sorts of activities, from water aerobics and dancing lessons to disco and volleyball with Faina, which was hilarious. Everything was fun and well organised, and the team made everyone feel included. The Coralia entertainment crew, Faina, Adhan, Thibault, Hortens and Marco, were so lovely. They brought loads of energy, joy and kindness, helped us make the most of our holiday, and made it really memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. We’ll miss you all!

We stayed as a family for the first time, arriving at the end of March, and the staff were lovely from check-in through dining service. Miguel and Melisa at the bar were amazing, and Anas from the entertainment team was so engaging. Pilar gave the best massage, and don’t miss the sound bath class among the palm trees, it was the best! The hotel is across the road from the beach, which is perfect with small kids. We had an amazing time, five stars overall!
