Sun Sport Hotel

For me, it's more of a two-star place, but the food is excellent and the rooms are spotless. It's in Montemar, which is a bit hilly, though you can walk to the centre in five minutes. It seems geared more towards Spanish guests, which would explain the good food. I booked for next year already, it's a grand wee spot!

I stayed here back in 2012, on July 12. The room was awful, with a broken tile, a small lift, and a balcony door that fell off. I wouldn't stay here again.

We didn't feel safe and left after only two hours, found another hotel, and lost the money we'd paid for three days. Better than risking a laptop or wallet. The property seemed to be an old hostel built for traveling sports teams in the 1970s. There was no parking, the room safe had no lock, and the balcony door had only a basic hasp lock. A plastic Pepsi chair served as the desk chair. While we were in the room, cleaning staff came in twice for no apparent reason. What a nightmare, avoid at all costs!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Juan Antonio. The place was very clean and had a good choice of food. I'd go back.
