Our deluxe bedroom was lovely, with a comfortable bed, a nice view, and a clean room. The Retama Michelin Restaurant was another bright spot: the traditional menu was very good, and the staff were super nice. But I’m lactose intolerant, and they didn’t make any changes to the dishes for me. Luckily I had my medication, or I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy most of the meal. I booked when the traditional menu was €80, and the price went up to €100 afterward. I only found that out when the bill arrived. We also used the golf facilities because we’d forgotten our clubs. The rental set mixed different brands and was so old that one club broke while I was practicing. The practice ball dispenser was empty, so we couldn’t warm up before playing the course. I’d definitely bring your own clubs. At breakfast, I had to wait in line for 20 minutes, the first time that’s ever happened to me at a hotel. The food was just okay, and definitely not five star, especially the desserts, which clearly came from the freezer. At lunch, there wasn’t a free table. After we’d waited a while, they offered us a coffee table. We asked to sit outside in the sun, right in front of the restaurant, but apparently that wasn’t possible. The waiters were nice, but didn’t know anything about the cocktail menu. The food was cold and really basic, and the price didn’t match the experience. The hotel spa needs to be booked, and it may be so busy that they ask you to come at another time. We went anyway because we had a massage right after, but it felt like a public swimming pool. The toilets weren’t working, and the broken sinks left them dirty. There were no windows either. It was a nice experience in some ways, but nowhere near five star overall.

The private wine tasting in the bodega was our favorite part. Each wine came with a pairing: a dish for the whites, another for the reds, and dessert with the dessert wine. The wine was soooo delicious, and our host knew so much about it. Set among olive trees and vineyards, the resort feels like an incredible oasis. The reception was super nice, the rooms were beautiful, and the grounds were immaculate. Lunch, dinner, and breakfast were all 10/10.

The location is so peaceful and expansive, a lovely spot to disconnect with excellent access to nature for wildlife photography. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, and both the spa and pool facilities were top-tier. Every meal was beautifully prepared, with quality ingredients and regional flavors. The service was attentive and professional throughout, and the staff made us feel welcome right away. An exceptional stay in every sense. Highly recommended if you’re looking for relaxed comfort, time in nature, and excellent service. We’ll be back.

From the moment we arrived, the beauty of the place stood out, and everyone greeted us with a smile. The staff and service were exceptional, and they made our dog feel welcome, too. There were treats and a bed ready for him. Whenever we went to the restaurant or pool, they brought him fresh water, and the restaurant even has a dog menu. The food was excellent quality and freshly cooked. The spa is a great place to relax and unwind. Our room was spacious and clean, and the beds were really comfortable for a good night’s sleep. One of the best spa experiences we’ve had. Thanks for an unforgettable stay. We’ll be back really soon.
