The toilet takes 45 minutes to refill, and the water temperature keeps changing by itself. In the wardrobe there's only a hanging rail and some old hangers, no shelves or drawers. The TV is tiny and ancient, and changing the channel is a matter of luck. They even allow smoking in the rooms, with no smoke detector, just an ashtray in the drawers. Hard to believe this place is still open.

The owner was rude and uncooperative, and the price is far too high for what you get. This place is old and badly maintained. The bathrooms stink, and that smell spreads easily into the rooms. Cleaning was poor too, with cobwebs on the radiators and dust on the floors and furniture.

The owners' awful manners finish off a stay that's already poor value for money. This old guesthouse is advertised as a rural place, but it's on one of the busiest streets in the city centre. The old windows let traffic noise carry on all night, and there's no sound insulation inside either, so you hear noise from the other rooms. If you arrive late and tired, take a critical look at other guests' reviews before making the same mistake with places like this.

We'd booked and checked in, but once we got to our room, the woman told us we had to leave because we had a dog. There hadn't been any problem with it in the reservation, on the hotel website, or at reception. It turned out they were overbooked and were using the dog as an excuse to sort that out. We refused to leave and stayed in the end, but the whole thing felt surreal.
