Apartamentos Deluxe San Julian

A comfortable, roomy apartment in a great location.

When we arrived, the apartment wasn't as advertised. There was no air conditioning, only one bathroom instead of two, and not enough chairs for our group of seven. The shower cabin door wouldn't close, so water spilled onto the floor. Once opened, the sofa bed pressed against a wardrobe pushed up against the wall. That blocked anyone coming from the other bedroom from getting to the bathroom unless they climbed over the person sleeping there. One bedroom had an interior door that was locked and led to another apartment. We could hear people through it and smell food. I reported all of this straight away, but it took two and a half days before we were moved to another place. Until then, we were stuck waiting for the move at any moment and couldn't go out. We lost a lot of time and enjoyment from the holiday we'd booked.

It's a mess that they don't make it clear the checkout takes place somewhere other than the apartment.

The apartment was spacious enough for five, with two decent bathrooms, and everything was neatly clean. We were allowed in a little before the promised 4 p.m. check-in after I explained that someone was feeling sick and needed to lie down. That was appreciated. But the strong chlorine smell hit us as soon as we arrived. It seemed they'd just cleaned thoroughly with chlorine, and even the fridge stank of it, so we couldn't put anything inside. Sleeping in the largest bedroom was a real letdown. The neighbor's air conditioning unit was fixed to the wall right where your head would be, and it ran noisily all day. There was also a weed smell in the bathroom. It seemed to be coming through a small vent from neighbors smoking somewhere nearby. I mentioned both problems when we checked out, so the landlord knows. It was okay for this stay, but I wouldn't come back.
