Dña Monse Hotel Spa & Golf

We stayed three nights, and the experience fell short of what we expected from a four-star hotel. The staff were polite, but we felt the communication and service didn’t fully meet that standard. We chose the hotel for its terrace in sunny weather. A few days before we arrived, an email said it would be closed on Saturday, which we accepted. At the hotel, we were told it would be closed both days, without being told that on Sunday only part was closed and the sunny outdoor area remained open. We planned our day thinking the whole terrace was unavailable. When we raised this, the response was that we’d been informed in advance and could have cancelled. Cancelling just days before departure wasn’t realistic, and didn’t address the unclear information on site. We expected a proper double bed, but got two singles pushed together, so make sure to insist on one if that matters to you. Soundproofing toward the corridor is poor, and we clearly heard slamming doors and people talking or walking past. At the restaurant, we were told it was fully booked and sent to the bar, then saw other guests without reservations seated there shortly after, with several tables appearing free. There may have been internal reasons, but it seemed inconsistent.

A peaceful spot for a quiet weekend or a stop while travelling. The hotel and restaurant are in a calm location, and the food was nice from breakfast through dinner. The rooms could do with a little freshening up, though that may just be me being picky. I’d recommend the place.

We return to Dña Monse Hotel regularly because the standard stays consistently high. The staff are professional, friendly, and always willing to help. Rooms are spotless and comfortable, the hotel is beautifully maintained, and the facilities are excellent. It’s good value for money, and we’re always glad to come back. A fantastic stay from start to finish, highly recommended.

I haven’t used the hotel room services, so I can’t rate them. I’ll leave the rating at this to maintain its 4-star reputation. I enjoy spending time in the Bar lounge, where the service is always welcoming and friendly. The food and drinks are nice too, and I like the view and the decorations outside.
