The sea is quite a walk from the hotel, and I’m not sure our rooms were serviced. Some people didn’t eat the food, though I thought it was somewhat good. The trip was alright, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re expecting something good.

The market is right outside, and the place is close to everything. We spent two weeks here in July and had a very good experience. The self-catering apartment was clean and spacious, with everything needed to cook, and the pool area was lovely. Staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean, and it wasn’t too expensive. The only drawback was that the outdoor pool bar could have stayed open in the evening. It’s a little gem, and I’d return.

I’ve been coming to Flamingo for about 30 years and have never had a problem. We were there in June 2024 and will be back next year. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are always clean. This time I got an updated room on the first floor, which was lovely and had the fridge I need for my medication. We were half board. Breakfast had something for every taste, and dinner was good too, with a nice variety.

The refurbished room was very nice, but we won’t be returning. There were 90 schoolchildren aged 11-16, as well as refugees, and it didn’t feel suitable for two 66-year-old women. The food was terrible and seemed aimed at the children and refugees. We had to clear our own tables, like in a canteen. The sunbeds were stacked high and hard for us to take down, and their backs couldn’t be raised. For hotel prices, the experience felt more like a hostel.

The reception team have been very helpful to our group, arranging mobility aids, excursions and packed lunches for days when we’d miss lunch. We’re part of a diving club that goes out daily with la sirena to dive medes, but the pool and other facilities give our non-diving family members a great holiday too. The beach, shops and attractions are all walkable, and I love the food, with something for every taste each day. We’ve stayed about seven times over the past 20 years. The hotel has changed a lot, but it still has its family-friendly atmosphere and original charm. Flamingo Hotel always goes above and beyond.
