Hotel Panorama

The hotel was comfortable, roomy and decent quality, and we booked two weeks. We weren’t disappointed, and I’d strongly recommend it. We had half board and found plenty of food options. Drinks weren’t included, but were reasonably priced, much more so than in the UK. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a nice pool with plenty of sun loungers, and some evening entertainment, though we watched the football (Euro 2024). It’s a short walk to a very long sandy beach with watersports options. The nature reserve is worth a visit, and beyond town you can walk over rougher ground to lovely coves for snorkeling. There are lots of boat trip options too. A bus service goes to Girona. We pre-booked a car for 8 days and could have managed with less, though we enjoyed seeing other parts of the coast as well as Figueres and Girona.

We’ve stayed here four times and never had a bad holiday. The hotel and staff are brilliant, and it’s well worth the money. It’s close to the beach with tapas bars, and also near restaurants and shops. The only downside for us is that there’s no tea or coffee making in the room.

From a scuba diver’s point of view, this is a perfect place. It’s near the beach, and the dive center Rei Del Mar is inside the hotel and worth recommending. There are equipment storage and drying facilities, plus parking. The food is good and varied, and the buffet is huge. Prices were fair when we stayed in June.

We had a great holiday and I can’t think of any negatives about the hotel. The location is good, really close to the beach, and the main shops and bars are a 5-10 minute walk away. The lounge, bar and pool areas are fantastic, and the rooms were immaculate and very modern. It never felt too busy at meals or at the bar, with plenty of sun loungers available. Food, drinks and parking all cost reasonable amounts, and the staff were very good.
