Mas Del Llop Blanc

The hosts, Sylvia and Francis, were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts and evening meals were great. We stayed three days for my wife's birthday, and she was delighted. Our 2-year-old Golden Retriever was ecstatic, and I loved it too. If you don't like dogs, this probably isn't the place for you. If you do, it's perfect, and even without a dog, Llop and Jac will adopt you. Our room was the smallest, but there was enough space for us and the dog. The other rooms are more roomy.

There's a lovely long walk through the wooded area right from this great location. Mornings came with homemade granola, and later we could enjoy the pool or sunny balcony. We also spent time playing fetch with their magnificent White Swiss Shepherd dog Llop. Our Belgian hosts, Francis and Sylvia, welcomed us warmly and took great care of us. You can see how much hard work they put into making it a lovely place for guests.

We slept really well in a comfortable room with all the expected conveniences and an exceptionally large en suite. Breakfast the next morning was an amazing spread, continuing the hosts' generous hospitality. After a long drive from the port of Bilbao, my colleague and I arrived at Mas del Llop Blanc at 9.30pm. Our hosts welcomed us warmly and offered to make dinner straight away. The food was delicious, and the local wine was sophisticated and very palatable. I've stayed at many B&Bs, and this is one of the very best for hospitality and cuisine. Even "Jack" the dog made us feel welcome. I could easily have taken him home.

The quiet, comfortable accommodations made for such a relaxing stay, and both breakfast and the home-cooked dinners were delicious. Sylvia and Francis were warm and welcoming. It was a highlight of our trip. I can't say enough good things, and if you're travelling to Sobrestany, definitely book a room.
