House number 8 was awful. A bed leg was broken, the washing machine didn’t work, and nobody came to fix either problem until the last day. The kitchen was badly equipped, and the house wasn’t suitable for eight people. It looked like something from a TV show, and the photos online were nothing like what we found. I can’t recommend it.

The only thing going for this place was the price. The bed hurt my back badly, mosquitoes kept me awake, and I came away with at least 250 bites. Three of us showered one after another and the bathroom flooded by the end. The balcony felt completely unstable, and the pool seemed dangerous because of all the broken tiles. At 1 a.m., the neighbors were swimming naked. This wasn’t a villa, it felt more like a house of horrors from the 70s. I could list ten more things that went wrong. The worst experience of my life, and I’d give zero stars if I could. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re worried about catching diseases.

We left after just one day because none of the eight of us could sleep. The place was moldy, with mosquitoes and ants everywhere. There were stains from dead insects on the walls and duvets, and the duvets felt damp from the mold. We even had to get fans, which cost us extra, and bugs bit us all over. Please don’t talk yourself into booking just because other places cost more. This was like The Exorcist’s House crossed with The Grudge, especially the bathroom. Seriously, don’t do it.

The customer service over the phone was great. They answered all my questions straight away. I stayed in an apartment beside the pool, though, and the pump made such a racket that it was impossible to rest. It should be switched off at night so guests can sleep. The apartment was dated but adequate, with quite a few things needing maintenance. I was lucky to get a good price, since the cost rises disproportionately with each day.
