What an experience, the views really finish it off. The owners are tremendous, the facilities are convenient and breakfast is delicious. It’s all eco-friendly, but we didn’t lose any comfort at all. Say hi to Tronco when you’re there!

I went without the kids because we needed to relax, but I also had work to do. At first I wondered if it would work: the decor is lovely and clearly done with care, but there didn’t seem to be a proper workspace, it’s a bit far from the little town, and with only breakfast served and my husband working elsewhere, I worried I’d starve. I needn’t have worried. I slept nine hours the first night and woke up feeling like a new person. The breakfasts are AMAZING. Most ingredients come from their garden, and each morning brought new treats for the tastebuds, all put together as a treat for the body too. There’s such a relaxing vibe and positive energy here. You’re up in the mountain and surrounded by nature, with fantastic sea views. Mayte and Javier are a really interesting, thoughtful couple. Mayte made me a lovely salad one day and kindly ironed some clothes. She brought me little healthy treats by the pool or while I worked on the terrace, including a delicious fig ice lolly. I could work quietly, mostly on conference calls, without bothering anyone even though the casa was full, with five rooms. The eco beer at the end of the day was divine too. Javier said my face changed during the four days, and he was right, I left feeling like a different person. My husband loved it too and we slept like babies. I also came away thinking we can do more for the planet, because little changes matter. I felt embarrassed by the 20+ plastic bottles in my toilet bag and vow to improve. I can’t wait to come back.

A little gem on the costa del sol, with a very quiet, chilled-out feel and an incredible, delicious breakfast. Thanks to the passive house concept, it stays cool without air conditioning, and we slept like babies. Sustainability has been thought through everywhere, from the cosmetics to paper waste bags. It shows that sustainability and luxury can go together.

This was a one of a kind stay, easily better than any so-called 5 star hotel. It felt custom and personal, and gave us a fresh, unique experience of the region of Malage.
