Hotel Santa Rosa

A couple of dark hairs in the sink were the one thing that kept this from being a five-star stay. They should have been caught in the final room check, though everything else looked tidy, and I saw other rooms being cleaned thoroughly. The hotel is right on the beach, with a great view from the breakfast tables. Front desk and room service staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and pleasant, though a bit small, especially the one with a balcony. The bathroom was fine and up to Mediterranean standards. Breakfast was good and typical for Europe. We arrived about an hour before closing on a Sunday, when a few items were running low, but staff quickly sorted it when we asked. There’s plenty of space in the private parking lot across the street.

The bed only had a thin blanket, and the room felt a little cold at night. An extra duvet or thicker cover would have made things more comfortable. Otherwise, I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Santa Rosa. It’s conveniently close to the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. My room was clean and practical, with enough space and a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a good, solid selection. A good hotel in a handy location, with reasonable value for money.

The food was the highlight for me: imaginative cooking, beautifully presented, and served in a spacious, comfortable dining room. There’s also a nice terrace balcony with wide views over the Mediterranean. It’s a calm, sweet hotel in a lovely beachside location, with an efficient, friendly team and a cool reception and bar area. Well worth a stay.

I’ve just come back from my second visit, and I’m already planning another. All the staff, across every department, go above and beyond to help. The hotel is in a beautiful spot right on the beach, and the swimming pool has three hydro jets built into the steps, which were ideal for my shoulder injury. El Morche is a quiet area with several bars, restaurants, shops, and more. It’s a leisurely 45-minute walk along the promenade to the centre of Torrox Costa, or you can take the bus outside for €1. The wifi was excellent, and the large smart TV had Netflix, Prime, and more. I stayed on a B&B basis, and breakfast was practically a banquet, constantly replenished. It’s a beautiful three-star hotel with ten-star service.
