I called the property this morning with a few questions about check-in and check-out, using the number on its website. The man who answered scolded me for calling and never answered what I’d asked. I was respectful from the start, spoke formally as I usually do with people I don’t know, and was probably overly polite. His response left me surprised and embarrassed. If this is how they treat potential guests, I can only imagine what staying there would be like. We’ll never book this property, and that’s no way to treat anyone.

The motivation is minimal. I suppose the owner lives off subsidies.
