Flamingo suite boutique hotel

The rooms were kept spotless, with plenty of storage, and the staff were always busy looking after the place. Vanessa at reception was cheerful and ready to help during the day, while security was around all night. There’s also a free two-hour slot in the hotel spa if you book, with a sauna and jacuzzi, plus lots of loungers by the communal pool. We stayed in the two-bedroom villa with its own heated pool. It cost a bit more, though wasn’t wildly expensive, and there were cheaper choices. The hotel and apartments feel like a lovely little boutique place, tucked close to everything without much noise. You can hear the local hotel singer until around 10pm, which we found oddly relaxing. A real little gem.

Breakfast was lovely each morning, and the poolside restaurant was a nice spot for lunch. Everything was within walking distance, even Siam water park. Our family of four, with daughters aged 11 and 15, has just come back from a week here and would definitely return. Amir welcomed us, helped with our luggage, and offered a complimentary drink. Fernando, the barman, was an absolute legend. The staff were friendly from the start, and the rooms were spotless and very spacious. It’s a beautiful complex.

The outside setting made evenings unsettling for us: the rooms faced abandoned, run-down streets where homeless people were around. Inside, cleaning felt superficial, and the slippery tiles seemed like a serious safety hazard. The building also appeared vulnerable and poorly protected. Breakfast was unpleasant, with service at irregular and unreliable times. Staff were rushed, unhelpful, and close to rude. We had a complete failure of a stay, and I wouldn’t book this hotel for a relaxing, pleasant break.

Anna made us feel welcome as soon as we checked in. The apartment was lovely, very clean, and in a great location.
