Casa Granados Boutique Hotel

We returned to Tossa de Mar this year and were lucky enough to stay at the Casa Granados Hotel. Everything was excellent from beginning to end. For us, it’s exceptional, and the Can Sophia restaurant is just as impressive as the hotel. Congratulations to everyone there for treating every guest like royalty. Kudos!

A little gem: a gorgeous boutique hotel with only 8-9 rooms. It’s quiet and beautiful, with thoughtful touches and wonderfully attentive service, especially from Andrea. There’s a stunning high-end restaurant, plus a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and loads of loungers.

The gardens are amazing, with a sauna, hot tub and really comfortable sunbeds beside the swimming pool. We’re definitely coming back in autumn. Breakfast was amazing too, with fresh fruit and cooked dishes made to order. This lovely boutique hotel is tucked close to the Castle walls. The decor is exquisite, and all the staff, including Andrea, are thoughtful and kind.

Kayla made our stay especially delightful. She looked after every detail, showed us around the charming grounds, checked on our meals at the hotel and recommended great places to eat, from the star restaurant on site to little finds off the beaten path. She’s a gem of a human and a real asset to the experience. As a small business owner, I know how hard it is to find and keep someone so good. I know anyone around her will have a magical time in Tossa de Mar. I also loved the hotel’s history as a gathering place for poets and creatives in earlier generations. It’s a sweet, unusual boutique hotel, full of quirky touches from its ancient setting, and just lovely. The garden terrace has a charming, secluded pool. It isn’t right on the water, which is a plus: you get glimpses of the sea without the noise or tourist traffic. The location is perfect, seconds from restaurants, cafes and markets, and minutes from several lovely beaches, with the castle right there. Hotel Diana gets lots of praise and I’m sure it’s lovely too, but we were so happy with our choice. The food, staff, drinks and location were all perfect. A few little improvements might help. The towels could be better, though the linens and robes in our suites were perfect. The decor could be a bit simpler, since the walls, stonework, shutters and atmosphere are already more than enough to shine. As Americans, we’ve seen boutique hotels hide or remove TVs, but our suite had two and a genuinely stellar sound system. It was more tech than we needed, though hardly a problem, and other travelers may prefer it.
