Don Juan Tossa Hotel & Bungalows

The lobby has been nicely renovated, the staff are kind, and the rooms are simple but just like the photos. We chose full board and found the food quality and variety really good. The beach is only 2-3 minutes away. One downside was getting to the pool: there's no elevator for that last part, so I had to carry the stroller by hand. The pool itself is quite basic and a bit outdated, so it wasn't worth the effort. Holly from the Kids Club is great with children. We're here right now and it's honestly much better than we expected.

The hotel was spotless and our room was cleaned every day. Its location near the beach is handy, with the local restaurants and supermarkets only a short walk away. I'd stay here again. A kettle in the room would be a useful addition.

We hadn't planned much for our last-minute trip to Costa Brava, and I didn't expect too much from Don Juan Tossa, but the price for what you get is quite good. The staff are lovely and helpful, and the service was great. The animation team is what made the stay memorable. They worked so hard to keep everyone entertained and were especially attentive to the kids. There was something for children every day, from a mermaid party and flower party to pool activities, mini disco, crafts and family games. Adults had bingo, and there was a show or activity every evening. It's the first all-inclusive place where I didn't feel like going out. My daughter wouldn't go anywhere because she wanted to join in. Thanks to the animation team for making our stay so enjoyable.

The restaurant had plenty to enjoy, from a large salad bar and changing daily dishes to themed meals like Mexican Night, with fresh guacamole and tasty wraps. The waiters were friendly and brought drinks to the table with a smile. But the entertainment was the real highlight. Huge thanks to Sara and Holly, who brought so much energy, heart and positivity to every day. Mermaid Day was magical for the children: they got to swim in the pool for a few minutes in a real mermaid costume, while two entertainers stayed beside them to keep it safe. We parents could relax and watch. It was unforgettable. We'd love to come back, especially for that wonderful entertainment team.
