Gran Hotel Reymar & Spa

The pool area was great, but the water was far too cold and almost impossible to swim in. The rooms were a good size and the beds comfortable, though the rooms got very hot with the air conditioning turned off, and the doors were ridiculously heavy. The spa was closed, so don't expect to use it. We stayed five nights as a family last week and had a fantastic time. The hotel is modern, clean and very well furnished, and everyone we met was lovely, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had a nice selection of hot and cold food, including VERY good Spanish ham. We'd absolutely come back.

We especially enjoyed the breakfast, both the selection and quality were good. Dinner and bar food at the hotel were just average, and while the service was great, a few people at the front desk could have been friendlier and more helpful. The garden suite gave us plenty of space with children, and the hotel provided a baby bed and bedding. The rooms are a little outdated but decent. The location is incredible, a short walk from the beach, diving school, restaurants and snorkeling spots. We also loved the small playground and pool, and the gym and spa were wonderful. Our massages were great. We'd come back, especially as a family, since the hotel has what you need and the sights and attractions are nearby.

From its spot atop a rocky outcrop, the hotel has stunning views of the castle and old town as the sun goes down. Perfect. There's also private underground parking. I gave Gran Hotel Reymar five stars for the rooms, service and location, and would give it six if I could. The staff were happy, attentive and very helpful. Our room was clean, tidy and well maintained, as were all the public areas.

The restaurant has fantastic views, especially at breakfast, with the sun over the sea right outside the window. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped for practical use. It looks like it was refurbished recently. The pool was good, though unheated and a little chilly at first in September. The bar and housekeeping staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly.
