Cap d’Or has much more character and history than the generic places around town, and the waterfront view is the best. It’s run by a very sweet family. The rooms are small but cozy and have what you need, and one of the owners makes homemade cakes for the delicious breakfast. The restaurant also does fresh seafood and local food. For me, this is the best place to stay in Tossa.

We kept coming back at different times of day for the seafront seating area. The staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome, and there was a good enough choice of drinks, snacks and tapas for each visit. The coffee was really tasty, the prices for drinks were fair, and the food was DELICIOUS, especially the fabulous tortilla.

The views are hard to beat, and the seafood is excellent. Food was delicious and service pretty quick. If you want typical food without getting caught in the usual beach trap, this is the place. From a local, salut i visca el barça!

Those couple of days were fabulous, and it was easy to get here from Barcelona by bus. The restaurant food was amazing, and everyone was so kind and happy. I’m glad I picked this beautiful hotel, in such a lovely spot in an exquisitely beautiful town. The lady in charge was chatty and friendly, and staying here felt like finding a little paradise. Thank you, lovely ladies at Cap d'Or!

The manager was wonderful, and the service was great. We had lunch on the terrific patio right by the beach, including fantastic char-grilled calamari. They even offer beach towels and umbrellas. Rooms are small and simple, though tastefully decorated, and the location is unbeatable. A great little hotel, and I’d definitely come back.
