Hotel Restaurant Victoria

You get a lot for the price here: a great location, sea views, and restaurants all around. The room was much smaller than I expected, and breakfast could use a few additions. The continental spread was fine, but hard-boiled eggs would add some protein, and chicken or turkey cold cuts would suit people avoiding pork. Omelets would be a nice extra too. Those options might even encourage hotel guests to eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant. If they had offered omelets, I know we would have had dinner there during our visit.

The desserts alone are worth a visit, freshly made in house. Everything we ate was top quality, and the mains were fantastic. We started with serrano ham and tomato toast, then garlic prawns. One of us had half a chicken, the other scallops. They only had four scallops left instead of the usual six, so they offered a discount or pudding. I asked for a substitute, and they added whole prawns. The menu comes in several languages, including English, and the staff were very friendly. The place was also very clean. 10/10, thoroughly recommend.

They were kind about it when we were properly late checking out and didn’t disturb us, though I wouldn’t suggest doing that on purpose. We had breakfast included and felt we got a great deal. The location by the beach and castle is hard to beat, and there’s a restaurant downstairs too. Excellent from the setting to the service.

The staff made this an amazing stay for the price. They were attentive and went out of their way to help, even arranging an early breakfast for our tour and handling special requests. The rooms were clean, the air-conditioning worked well, and everyone was friendly. The location is stunning, right on the beach. We got the room within an hour of booking, which came after a horrible check-in at another hotel in Tossa de Mar. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Tossa de Mar, rather than choosing hotels away from the beach.
