Pension Can Tort

This old bed and breakfast sits in a characterful street in Tossa de Mar’s historic centre, just metres from the castle. Shops, restaurants and bars are right nearby, and two beaches are only a couple of minutes away on foot. The rooms are simple, nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was a plentiful continental spread. They also let us leave our luggage after checkout since our flight wasn’t until the evening. I’d gladly stay again.

For a one-star hotel, this is still below standard. The beds are so short that half your leg hangs off, and the walls are paper-thin, so you hear the neighbours and the cleaning Lady. There’s no AC, just a useless ceiling fan that I wouldn’t bother switching on. This so-called hotel is awful. Unless you have serious hearing problems or have spent the last decade or two sleeping on a pile of rocks, avoid it at all costs!

Set in the old town, this beautiful place has an old-time feel. The view is hard to beat, and the rooms are spacious and very well kept.

Great value for the price, and the location is hard to beat. The old town is only 50 metres away, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The only downside is how noisy it gets at night.
