The worst part was how the owners handled things after we reported the problems from day one: they never fixed them and later refused any compensation. The house didn't feel fit for basic use or hygiene, and what we got wasn't what we'd booked for the price. We spent a week there, and the constant leaks, smells, and overflows made our family holiday stressful and uncomfortable. The shower overflowed every time, dirty water and soap scum came up through the bathroom drains, and one toilet leaked around the sides. There was a strong sewage or rotten-egg smell throughout the house. Even the refrigerator was broken and had to be replaced. Technicians and the owners kept coming and going all week, but nothing was properly resolved. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone hoping for a quiet stay in decent conditions.

Everything was neat and really clean, and the house had thoughtful supplies I don't usually find elsewhere, like towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and dishcloths. We spent the weekend there as a family and found it very peaceful, a nice place to switch off. Highly recommend it.

The owners were so warm and attentive, and the wineries by the river are only about 15 minutes away, which is handy for a visit. We had a barbecue and ate by the pool. The house was super clean, with a lovely big garden, and worked great for our weekend with the family and our dog. We'll come back. Thanks!

The place was clean and had everything we needed, but mornings were hard because the dog next door barked constantly and kept us from sleeping well. The pool seems meant for children, though the ground underneath has dirt and stones that can prick you since it isn't set up properly.
