Be very careful. We booked this house in February and paid a non-refundable €100 deposit through a virtual app. The day we were due to leave, she messaged me on WhatsApp an hour before departure to cancel, saying she couldn’t meet us and would refund the deposit. Then she blocked me so I couldn’t reply. I found her on Facebook and was blocked there too. In my view, she just wants the €100. The house had stopped operating as a hostel two years earlier, and its activity was suspended from then. Don’t send personal information.

We loved it enough to come back in July. It’s a beautiful, peaceful, super clean place, just minutes from Comillas and Oyambre beach, where there’s so much room that finding a spot is never an issue. Santillana del Mar and San Vicente de la Barquera are close too. There’s a lovely garden with a little football pitch for children, and an enclosed porch where you can have breakfast or dinner away from crowded indoor spaces. They don’t serve food, but you can bring your own.

A peaceful place to rest, just a 5-minute walk from the sea and perfectly located for traveling around Cantabria. The owner is lovely, very helpful, and attentive. The place is well maintained.

Pets stay free, and I really appreciate that they trust people to be responsible rather than charging extra. There’s private parking too. The location is ideal, close to Comillas with Oyambre beach right behind the house. Waking up to those views only three minutes away is a real treat.
