Agroturismo La Gayria

The pool was just right for relaxing and cooling off, even if it might seem small to Olympic swimmers. We felt at home immediately, thanks to such welcoming people, and had an amazing holiday. Their own wines are well worth trying too. A couple of tiny practical things: it would be handy to sharpen the knives, and an extra electric extension by the bed would let you charge phones or use the fan while keeping the bedside lights on. Still, I’m really not complaining. We’d give the place 10/10 if we could. Don’t hesitate to book. Thanks again, and we hope to see you soon. Andy and Iwon

The views across the mountains to the nearby extinct volcano were wonderful, and the central location made it easy to explore the whole island in our hire car. We also loved seeing the donkeys each morning and the friendly cats, who never came into our little house. Doramas was always helpful and easy to reach on WhatsApp if we needed information or a hand. He made everything straightforward, starting with the great communication before we arrived. The authentic Spanish country cottage had lots of character and everything we needed. Fans in the bedroom and lounge helped during those first hot nights while we got used to the temperature. We loved our week here and would choose this over a tourist resort. It felt much better for eco-tourism. Thanks, Doramas!

Such a peaceful spot in a little village, well away from the busy areas. There’s an inner courtyard and animals all around.

We'd been to plenty of tourist areas that felt inauthentic, so La Gayria was a welcome change. It’s a characterful rural place in the hills, tastefully restored and away from the crowds. The service was great, and the rooms and gardens were lovely. There are also some good restaurants in the village. We’ll be back.
