We booked two rooms, one for us and one for the kids, and made use of the large, well-equipped kitchen to cook the food we’d brought. That’s handy in a quiet little village with just three streets and no shops or restaurants nearby. The place is modern, clean, beautifully renovated, warm from the underfloor heating, and really cozy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the peaceful views made it a lovely base for a couple of nights exploring Andorra and enjoying the snow. It’s around a 30-minute drive away, so staying here saved us quite a bit on accommodation, with a great price for the quality. The main trouble was the church right next door. Its bells rang every hour, even through the night, and the sound carried so much that we kept waking up. Also, none of the doors lock, including the bathroom and bedroom doors, which felt uncomfortable when we wanted privacy as a couple or while using the bathroom. Even with those issues, La Rectoria has become one of our favorite places for short trips. It’s beautiful and comfortable, and the location works well for Andorra. If the bells and unlocked doors don’t bother you, it’s a good budget-friendly place for a peaceful getaway.
