If you’re visiting the castle, this local restaurant is well worth it. The meat and local desserts are great, and the staff are friendly, though they don’t speak English. It’s good for big groups, but make a reservation first. The language barrier is the only downside.

Turegano is really, really tiny, with nothing to see except the castle. The restaurant is great, though you could have trouble if you only speak English. My room was quite dim and not especially comfortable.

A must if you’re in Turegano. Maybe the best restaurant I’ve tried in Spain. Every dish has its own special touch, and the morcillas were fantastic. The food came quickly, and they brought homemade grapa (orujo blanco) and limoncelo as a digestif, on the house.

It’s always busy, but the prices are good and the portions are generous. The food was fresh and tasty, and Kuba and Juan were very helpful.
