This was the worst experience I've had in Spain. The pension was extremely dirty and old, the key didn't work, and there was no air conditioning in summer. The owner seemed stressed and was disrespectful, and I found his conduct unethical. When we raised the hygiene problem, he admitted that part of the room hadn't been cleaned. He pressured us to stay and refused our request to cancel. After we disagreed, he kicked us out, which we were fine with as long as we got a refund. He refused to refund us, then resold the room, so in my view he was being paid twice for it. That says a lot about his integrity as a small business owner, and I believe visitors to this region should avoid doing business with them. As a local Spanish person, I can say there are plenty of nice, affordable places nearby, including agroturismo Montefrío and Casa Rural Altzibar berri. Both are super clean, more affordable and authentic.

San Sebastián is expensive, so this place was a great price. The train ride is an easy 20 minutes, and the accommodation was incredibly clean with friendly staff. The town is cute too.

I felt the owner was a maniac, seemed under a lot of stress and couldn't discuss issues. Stay away. There are many better options at this price.

The bed was comfortable, the service was great and breakfast was included for free.

Nice place, and the employees were very kind. I hope they send me my motor jacket. I'll of course pay for delivery.
