Hotel Europa

Teenagers were making noise late into the night. Breakfast was very poor, and the service in the restaurant and at breakfast was bad too.

The clerk who checked us in was wonderful and helped with all sorts of things. That’s the only reason I gave this two stars. The hotel itself is extremely basic, even though it looks pretty. Our pillows were flat, and there was no air conditioning, bottled water, kettle, or way to make coffee in the room. Since it’s a small town, they serve breakfast and supper, but breakfast was awful, with packaged pastries and cold egg and potato tortilla. The “marinated steaks” at dinner were actually a fresh pork bacon slice about a quarter inch thick, with less than two ounces of edible meat. Terrible stay. We won’t be back.

The restaurant was fantastic, and the bathroom had plenty of room with good water pressure. There was space in the room and the bed was good, but the pillows were horribly thin, like paper. The air conditioning only went down to 20 degrees, which was too warm for a blanket, and there were no sheets. The shampoo was second-rate.

Parking was easy to find, the area was quiet and nice, and the WiFi was excellent. The room looked good too, but it smelled of body odor, perhaps because it hadn't been aired out. The bed was hard as a rock.
