The breakfast buffet cost 11 EU and had plenty to choose from, including rolls, cheeses, meats, cereal, fresh juices, and eggs and bacon made to order. The hotel is in a lovely, picturesque setting, and the rooms are lovely too. Our receptionist was friendly and helpful. We did ask for fresh towels, which never arrived, though it wasn't a big deal. The restaurant is shut for dinner in the off season, but Casa Ceto next door serves bar food at 7pm midweek, with plenty of locals around. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk away.

The hotel looks great from outside, with a lounge room and little pool table, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The woman serving there was sweet and polite. We only stayed one night, and the quiet, out-of-the-way location suited us, although we could hear the neighbors next door. The furnishings looked new and thoughtfully chosen. We were in a junior suite, but the room felt rather empty and not especially cozy. Food choices were limited: dinner had a few starters, two salads, and two burgers, so not much for anyone avoiding junk food. Breakfast was limited too.

After a few mediocre hotel stays, this was a welcome surprise. The rooms are fantastic, and there's a pleasant bar and a simple restaurant on site. It's about a 10-minute drive from Unquera. Camino walkers may find it less convenient, though arranging a taxi makes that manageable. There are also a few other bars around town.

The room was clean, a good size, and comfortable. We were glad to have the little kitchen, and there are some nice places to eat nearby. We really enjoyed our stay.
