Apartamentos Rurales La Macera ****

Joaquín was attentive to whatever we needed during our four-day stay, and the facilities were excellent. There was plenty to do outside, including a pool, paddle tennis court, basketball hoops, and playground. The house itself had all the basics we needed, from a microwave and dishwasher to cutlery and dishes. We went walking on one of the several nearby routes, and I had a wonderful time with my wife and children. We'll come back.

Joaquín was so friendly and always around if we needed help. He also shared ideas for places to visit. The house was comfortable and lovely, with beautiful surroundings, making it a perfect spot to unwind.

Joaquín is charming and really friendly, and the house is very well equipped. We spent four wonderful days surrounded by nature in such an idyllic setting. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to switch off and spend time outdoors.

You can hear birds but not engines at La Macera, which is exactly the kind of absolute quiet I was after. The pool is nice and the rest of the house is great. The place itself is spectacular, and Mr. Joaquín is incredibly kind. Getting there means taking about 1 km of rural road, narrow enough for just one car at a time, so if you meet someone coming the other way, one vehicle has to pull aside. A couple of small things could be improved. The bathroom's little black edges could be whiter, though I don't mind them, and my partner notices these things. I'd also spend €30 on new cutlery, or even less at Ikea. Some forks have partly plastic handles, and their chrome plating has worn away with age. Our house had a state-of-the-art TV that looked great, but there wasn't enough Wi-Fi coverage for Netflix, so we couldn't watch anything on it.
