Apartamentos Rurales San Pedro

We had a wonderful family weekend, with all three apartments occupied by our group of twelve. The apartments are beautiful and have so many thoughtful details. The beds were super comfortable, and the houses came stocked with a sponge cake, milk, coffee, sugar, tea, and other things. We enjoyed our stay so much. The service was fantastic. They gave us all the information we needed, and we really felt at home. The rooms are lovely, and ours had spectacular views. My mother has mobility difficulties, and in our apartment she had a perfect room with the bathroom right next door. The bathrooms are beautiful and very comfortable, with roomy, spacious showers. Everything was wonderful!

The location worked perfectly for our plans to see Marvão and La Portagem in Portugal, and we’re already thinking about coming back next summer for the pool. We spent the weekend there as a family and felt at home, thanks to the impeccable service. The apartment was cozy and really clean. We’ll recommend it to our friends.

The setting is a real draw, with quiet surroundings, nature, and a spot right on the Spain-Portugal border. We could explore Portuguese villages like Marvão and Castelo de Vide, as well as the castle, Gothic-Jewish quarter, and prehistoric dolmens around Valencia de Alcántara, one of Europe’s most important megalithic sites. Our apartment at Apartamentos Rurales San Pedro, in the hamlet of San Pedro (Valencia de Alcántara), was comfortable in any season. Both spacious bedrooms had plenty of wardrobe space, heating, and air conditioning. There were double sinks in the bathroom, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Everything felt new, clean, and carefully looked after, so arriving and settling in was easy. It’s a lovely, welcoming place to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and explore an area full of history and charm. I’d recommend it.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and had a great time on both visits. It’s lovely and peaceful, with all sorts of amenities. The owners are always happy to help and share recommendations that make the stay even better.
