Hotel Malcom and Barret

The nachos and pastrami sandwich were unforgettable, and the hotel restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of choices for adults and kids. Hotel Malcom and Barret made our family trip to Valencia feel even more special. We felt welcome and looked after from the moment we arrived. The rooms were comfortable, modern, and cozy, a nice place to relax after exploring the city. Valencia is vibrant and friendly, with so many beautiful places to discover. I’d recommend this stylish, family-friendly hotel for its food and service. We’ll be back!

The place is nice, though a little worn, and breakfast was good. It’s a 30-minute walk to the city, which worked for us, but it’s not as close as some people suggested. You can rent bikes from the hotel for the day, and those are nice for a full day out. There’s also a public bike station nearby. Those bikes are heavy, better for short rides of about 10 minutes into the city.

The biggest problem was breakfast hygiene: I found a tray of tuna salad covered in mold. Staff acted quickly after I told them, but it should never have been served. When it rained, there was also a strong drainage smell in the building. The decor looks modern, but the experience didn’t live up to it. Check-in was painfully slow, with queues all the time. There’s no tea or coffee in the room, and tea at the bar costs €2.40, which feels cheap for a hotel with such a high-end look. It has real potential, but management and cleanliness standards need to improve.

Spacious rooms, well equipped and tastefully furnished, and very peaceful. The reception service was outstanding, on the level of an international five-star hotel. Many thanks for your very kind assistance.
