The tram rattles along the street, so earplugs might come in handy. The Mediterranean is only about five minutes away, and the rooms have plenty of space and all the mod cons. The place does need work and updating inside, though. The bathroom was small, and the shower smaller still.

We stayed four nights in May in Apartment 3 on the first floor. The apartment was spacious, with public transport right outside, the beach nearby, decent Wi-Fi, easy access, and good communication. There was parking in front, but signs of car break-ins made us wary, especially with a German license plate, so we used Saba at the Cabanyal market, about a 10-minute walk away. The neighborhood felt ordinary and a little sketchy, not the charming Cabanyal some might be looking for. There was a heavy police presence because of a large squatted building nearby. People around tended to be loud, and seemed addicted to something, though they also sometimes threw spontaneous parties in the park across the street. Cleaning could have been better, and the place needs an overall upgrade.

The reservation process online was very slow until I paid. After that I never got confirmation with the arrival and departure dates, and in the morning we found the cleaning lady there and had to rush to leave. Maybe the dates got mixed up, but better organization and professionalism would have prevented it. The cleanliness was almost nonexistent when we arrived. I washed the floor because we like to walk barefoot, and cleaned a dirty area outside too. The bed pillows were filthy and need to be washable. I don't know much of the language; Francesca wasn't available, and Alessandra doesn't speak Italian and was rude. I won't trust them again. 🤬

The email contact with the landlord was quick and helpful when we asked about checking in a little later, how the cooking appliances worked, and a slightly later checkout. We spent 10 days there in November 2021 in apartment number 1 on the ground floor. It was a clean, tidy, well-kept place, bright and secure, with everything intact. Street traffic and trams were reasonably muted with the windows shut. There was plenty of hot water in the kitchen and bathroom, air conditioning, excellent Wi-Fi, and the beach was a five-minute walk away. Tram line 4 went straight to the city centre cheaply. The elevator even handled the three steps in the hallway to the apartment, though we didn't need it. The TV had over 50 channels, all Spanish. With the Wi-Fi, we could watch Dutch TV through our own KPN network on a tablet.
