That kitchen alone made this my favorite of the 40-plus apartments I've stayed in while traveling. The frying pan was even better than mine at home, and they had salt, pepper, extra virgin oil, and vinegar ready to use. I spent eight days here while taking part in SpanishSlow, an immersion program organized by my Spanish teacher Eva Ferrer. The apartment was bright and comfortable, with all the amenities. The shower, by Roca, held exactly the right temperature, and I could log into my Netflix account on the smart TV.

Valjunquera is a beautiful, authentic village in a stunning setting, and the Goya apartment was just right for what we needed. We stayed for seven days, looking out onto a very quiet street. The place was spotless and luxurious, and the care for the house showed in all the details. It's a modern complex that still cherishes its past. Merche welcomed us warmly, was friendly, and took plenty of time to help. She also knows the area well, and there were information brochures in the shared reception area. Lorena was always reachable by phone when we needed her. They'd left a few delicacies for us too. A huge thank you for everything!
