Madelena is the icing on the cake. She was such a friendly hostess, and her cooking made our stay feel special. We planned on two nights and ended up staying a week. The place is restful and quiet, with spectacular mountains and nature around it, plus fragrant plants and flower pots on the terraces and verandahs. It’s an old stone village property, with outbuildings renovated and joined together in a tasteful, respectful way. Inside, it feels stylish but still homely.

We had a wonderful two nights and will be back, I’m sure. Maud was an exceptional host, and even made us an evening meal for my husband’s birthday. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade juices and jams, and she was happy to bring more toasted rolls and bread, plus meat and cheese if you wanted it. Our room was great, with a shared balcony overlooking the mountains, and the shower had plenty of hot water and a strong flow. The swimming pool area was well equipped, and the house has a lovely atmosphere. Don’t miss their wishing tree! The mosquitoes were quite active, so bring spray, though Maud had small sprays available. There’s also a communal kitchen, so you can bring your own food and drinks.

We slept really well in our room, which had a little private balcony facing the mountains. The patio was a lovely spot for an evening drink while watching the moon come up over the peaks. It’s a quiet, relaxing little hotel in beautiful surroundings. The owner cooked and served a very good five course dinner and a great breakfast, with lots of local ingredients. Definitely recommend it! ❤️

A lovely little inn in a beautiful valley, about an hour or so south of Valencia. The host was a delight. Highly recommended if you want to get away from city life.
