Apartamentos Borbalán y La Roseta

We spent the summer of 2025 at Finca La Roseta and were happy with the whole stay. Our two-bedroom apartment was across from the smaller units, in the wonderful garden. Its shady terrace under a tree had a table, chairs, and cushions, so it was a lovely place to sit any time of day. The rooms are simple, clean, and decorated with care, in a local style. The little kitchenette had everything we needed to prepare some meals ourselves. There’s Wi-Fi but no TV, which we didn’t miss while on holiday in La Gomera. Small windows and all the greenery make the rooms a little dim, but they also help keep the cottage cool. There’s no air conditioning, though the windows have insect screens and can be opened for fresh air. At night, the breeze from the nearby sea made it comfortably cool. The beds were very comfortable and restful. We didn’t have trouble with mosquitoes or flies. At least one gecko comes out in the house in the evening and keeps them away. Outside, geckos appear at dusk as the lizards settle down. We loved the peaceful garden, which is a delight for the plants and animals, and for guests too. The garden is the standout feature of the Finca. You can see the gardener’s care everywhere. In mango season, delicious fresh mangoes from the garden were left on the terrace table each morning, with a warm invitation to enjoy them. We’ve never tasted better. The pool was clean and very well cared for, a lovely place to relax, with views of the garden and the huge mountain behind the property. The calm and beautiful setting made it a wonderful holiday retreat. We appreciated that the entrance gate is locked and only guests staying there have a key. It meant we could relax without strangers wandering through while looking at the garden. The location also worked well for outings: the Atlantic is just 300 meters down the road, while the other direction takes you to supermarkets and nice restaurants a few streets away. The bus station is close too. We had a great time. The owner was very helpful, and everyone we met was friendly and kind. We felt completely at home as guests.
