A great spot for a day trip.

Right in the historic center of Vallfogona del Ripollès, this hostel/rural house works well for families and groups. Mrs. Emilia manages it, and at 90 she's still active and gives excellent service. A nice choice for nature lovers wanting a break from city life.

Mrs. Emilia was the person who hosted me at the house, and I especially loved her warmth. She's charming, kind, attentive, and so affectionate with my daughter and wife. The people here are wonderful, and there's plenty of nature and loads of trails to explore. It's peaceful when you want quiet, while most weekends there's usually something happening in the village.

The kitchen is super well equipped, and the facilities are good. Emília, the teacher, is very, very welcoming, kind, attentive, and always ready to help. It's a pleasant, quiet place for a few days with family or friends. I'd definitely recommend it.
