La Casa del Telar

I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend this place. We brought our pets for a weekend visit with family, and the owner, who has a shop downstairs, complained repeatedly and bothered my sister because the animals barked one morning during a First Communion celebration. My sister had arranged everything at the start of the year, paid the booking fee, and lives just two streets away. She’s well liked and respected in the village. The church is right beside the house, and its bells rang loudly in the morning, which made the animals bark. I found the owner unpleasant and didn’t like how she treated us, so I’m sharing this publicly. If you don’t like animals, don’t rent the house to families with pets. You need to know how to treat customers.

Rosa, the owner, was lovely and took great care of us. She showed us the main places to see and suggested hiking routes, and we’re very grateful. The accommodation itself was charming, welcoming, and decorated beautifully down to the details. Its location also made it easy to visit villages in the Sierra, like Trevejo and San Martín, as well as Portuguese ones such as Monsanto and Penha García. We’ll definitely return!

A lovely spot to relax. The apartment is right in the center but still quiet, and the owner is so friendly and easy to reach. They also gave us lots of ideas for places to explore nearby.

The owner gave me great tips on places to see around the area, and the service was excellent. The apartment was cozy, comfortable, spotless, and nicely decorated, with parking just a few meters away. It’s very central, so everything is close. I’d happily stay again.
