The garden is a living paradise. I loved the apple trees, fig tree, olive tree, camellias, and the magnolia in all its majesty. I can only imagine how lovely the kiwi shoots will look when they appear, and how the hydrangeas and azaleas will brighten the garden once they're in bloom. It's a shame I won't see them at their fullest, but picturing Casa Paz with everything flowering completes the scene for me. The granary stands among the greenery and stone like a guardian of time and Galician tradition, a postcard that seems to take you to another era. And the chickens add to the country feel. I'll miss the poetic sound of rain on the leaves and the birds singing. A week here gives you a real sense of peace, surrounded by beauty, where time seems to stand still. Thank you, Ana, for opening the doors of this generous, magical space to us. Casa Rural Paz feels like a journey into serenity from the moment you arrive. Its imposing Galician stone architecture hints at the warmth inside. There are five bedrooms, decorated with lovely taste, and the wallpaper, beds, and little objects all make them feel like home. The house is always warm, and its incredibly comfortable beds make it a refuge from the cold. It's perfectly equipped, with nothing missing except a reason to leave. Ana is the heart of the place. She was kind and attentive, helping us with everything from the washing machine to local tips on where to buy meat and supplies. Her hospitality made us feel like honored guests. I left feeling a bit sad to go.
