There was just one bathroom for a place meant for six people. The privacy issue bothered me even more: the owner could come through the rental garden to reach his home, despite having another entrance, so we never knew when he might appear and felt watched. He also set aside part of the garden for smokers because his house is beyond it and he didn't want the smoke reaching him. We stayed two nights for a wedding and barely used the place. Of the six of us, nobody would stay there again.

The owners are very welcoming and will happily show you around their private manor house if you ask. Next door, they also have a separate tourist property called El Lerele, a quiet spot for a few days away from everything.

We found the house in great condition, and the owners were a pleasure. There’s lots of room for kids and pets, with different routes to explore during the day and a sky full of stars at night. We’ll be back for sure.
