The smoked trout was fantastic, and the greens tasted like they’d been picked that day. We also had fresh apple cake for dessert, and the fat, friendly cat was a delight. We have two food rules when we travel: join a line, and trust that a fat cat on the property means something tasty is coming. This place proved us right. We caught our hosts at 11am while they were turning over the Albergue, and they kindly made room for our early lunch. Worth a visit!

The owners are so welcoming, and their home-cooked food on the Camino is the best, so don’t miss it. It’s peaceful here even though the place is close to the road. There’s a pond where you can fish or just sit and relax, plus plenty of room for outdoor games. A great place to stay.

The trout pond and hammocks nearby made for a really relaxing break, and town and its restaurants are within walking distance. The rooms were fine, the beds clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms large and tidy. There’s no AC. The owners aren’t big on pleasantries, but they’re kind, helpful, and caring.

Hammocks in the dappled afternoon sun, a lovely garden full of irises around the trout pond, and home-grown produce in the tasty menu. It feels like a quiet little oasis. They have single rooms too. My favourite albergue, and a hidden gem.

Excellent food, good beds and bunks, and solid facilities. There’s a big grassy lawn, a fishing pond, and river access nearby. The owners speak English, Russian, Spanish, and German. Best stay of the whole Camino. I’d recommend stopping in town just to stay here.
