Free parking, friendly staff, A/C and good wifi, plus nicely kept grounds with a large, clean pool. It's a simple but comfortable hotel on its own beside the highway between Vejer and Barbate. I thought it was a bit expensive for a 2-star hotel, around the same price as 3- and 4-star places in a larger city. The ownership changed in April 2018. It's now Hotel Nomadas rather than Hotel Rural El Olivar, though Google Maps currently has the wrong name.

A beautiful place to stay, great for families and kids. Everything is clean, sweet and lovely, and the staff are amazing, so warm and helpful. It's easily the best place in this wonderful area! For horse riders and people connected with SunShine Tour, it's only 3km away and a fantastic spot for the whole team to chill and rest away from the pressure. There's lots of space and plenty of corners to work and prepare the jumps. The horses themselves could sleep here too with a little organization 😂😂😂 Nomadas Hotel is the real choice. I recommend it big time. Gracias

The Manager Jose Maria went out of his way to find us somewhere to stay even though his hotel was fully booked. That was excellent service, and we'd happily come back. Thanks again, Jose Maria.

It wasn't as advertised. We didn't stay because the room was in poor, dirty condition, with a curtain falling down and items left on the floor by previous guests. They have refused to refund us.
