Our family spent two days here and enjoyed the atmosphere, especially the terrace with its small pool. The rooms were spacious and cool, a welcome thing in the September heat in Malaga, and the Moroccan decor is exquisite. What took away from the stay was that they wouldn't accept credit cards. At checkout, with an hour still left before the stated time, the manager was in the hallway giving orders to the cleaning staff, and we felt rushed and uncomfortable.

Vélez-Málaga is a charming old town, with bars and restaurants just a short walk away, and the Costa del Sol beaches are an easy taxi ride. At breakfast, Maria was a kind and attentive host, and there's an honesty bar for the rest of the day. You come in from the street through an ancient wooden door and find yourself in a cool central courtyard with porticoes and lots of white marble. Most rooms face inward. Ours looked out to the road, but there's very little traffic. It felt like a beautiful home from home.

I saw it on Travel & Living on the Discovery Channel. They had such a fighting spirit and the motivation to carry on and finish what they started. The design turned out beautifully. I'm really impressed, great job! Good luck, and God bless. I hope we can visit your hotel someday.

It's a convenient spot for exploring the interesting surroundings, with good eateries and bars only a short walk away. The hosts were genuinely kind and always ready to help.
