We’ve made this our New Year’s Eve stay for three years now, visiting both houses, and they’ve both been lovely each time. Fonte do Barro and Piñeiro are well equipped with everything you need, and the service has been excellent. We’re already planning to return next year. Highly recommend them.
We spent the last two weeks of August 2025 here, and the weather was fantastic, warm and pleasant by day, cool at night. The hosts were very friendly and looked after us really well. The house itself is beautiful, with a lovely garden and an ideal pool area. Its location is another plus, 25 km from Santiago de Compostela and about equally distant from several places of interest. Thank you, we highly recommend it.
My family stayed here in August 2021. The setting is beautiful, and the house could be wonderful, but it was unbelievably dirty. The hygiene was so poor that it shouldn't be hosting guests in that condition. We also saw bugs crawling in several areas, especially in the kitchen. Such a shame.
The rural setting was a big part of our unforgettable few days here, with lovely scenery and Santiago de Compostela very close by. Inside, the house feels welcoming and attractive, and it’s equipped with everything a traveler might need. I’d definitely recommend it for a countryside break.
I stayed at the start of summer and plan to come back in the fall. The place is clean, welcoming, and very spacious, with all the amenities shown in the photos, in a fabulous setting. It was a real pleasure staying so close to Santiago. The owners were friendly and attentive to our questions and needs, and they dealt with anything we brought up right away. Delightful.
