Hotel Delavall

It feels dated rather than modern, and seems set up mainly for people coming for a day of skiing or mountaineering. The outside needs attention too: the windows need varnish, the gutters are blocked, and the garden chairs have mold on them. No offense meant, but the place really needs a major renovation, inside and out. Sorry, and best regards.

The best part for us was being able to bring our dogs. There's also a public parking lot right across the street, so no need to rent a space, and a riverside path is less than two minutes away. The location is very central without being in the middle of the bustle. It's not a five-star hotel, it doesn't have the latest technology, and it's not the best in Vielha. Still, it's a good, clean hotel with comfortable rooms. The beds were better than those in some higher-category hotels we've stayed at, and the bathroom was well equipped, hairdryer included. The entrance staff were especially helpful. Reception is accessible and can give plenty of information, along with brochures for local activities. Wi-Fi is available too, for anyone who still needs to stay connected.

María and Javier were so friendly and made me feel at home. The hotel itself is quiet and cozy, and the location puts everything nearby, from restaurants and the bus terminal to a market right next door. I had an unbeatable stay and will definitely come back.

The room door was very hard to open and shut, which left me feeling it wasn't very secure. The hotel is right in the center, though, with a huge parking lot opposite, handy for leaving the car and heading out to explore the Vall d'Aran each day. The decor is retro and gives the place a cozy feel, and reception staff were friendly and attentive.
