Hotel Hipic

The family room cost 275€, but was barely 10 m² and meant for four people. It had old bunk beds, smelled of smoke, and had no table, chairs, central heating or TV. The parking area was a mess as well. When we arrived, nobody was at reception, and the manager was arguing with another guest in front of my family. A very disappointing stay, with comfort and service falling short of even the basics.

Only here for one night, but I'm really happy I stayed. Dinner and breakfast were both very good, and Mr Melik was so hospitable. Thank you so much. See you again.

The bar felt just as run-down as the rest. I waited 15 minutes for a beer and asked twice, but nobody came to serve us. Back in the room, the bed was broken and wobbly, the ceiling looked ready to come down, and the wooden floor was badly scratched. The bathroom wasn't any better: broken bath or shower tap, a makeshift repair, and a toilet that wouldn't flush. Even the reception looked tatty and unwelcoming. I've seen better on TV in prisons.

The hotel itself wasn't especially attractive or clean, though it wasn't the worst part. The service was what made the place horrible. We stood in line for 45 minutes just to get into the dining room, with no explanation of what was happening or when we'd eat. Then we were seated and moved again three times because things were so poorly organised. People were arguing, and the waiter yelled at us. I hate being yelled at, and felt completely uncomfortable there.
