The restaurant is the highlight, with panoramic windows looking down over a beautiful valley, and the food is great. The location is lovely too, with wonderful views.

The spa was a lovely winter treat, with a pool that extends outdoors and plenty of hot tubs. It is a bit expensive, but I enjoyed the experience.

We were there in September, when it seemed quieter than it probably gets during the ski season, though all the facilities were open. The Parador in Vielha felt more like a winter hotel. It's about 1 km outside town, on a hairpin bend on the road to Lleida. We'd heard comments about truck noise, but didn't notice any and slept well. The views are amazing. Our junior suite was a good size, with tea-making equipment, a comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom stocked with toiletries. We ate at the restaurant. There aren't other dining options right there, and walking into town might be manageable, but the steep, potentially dangerous climb back would be less appealing. The food was good, served well, and not too expensive. The staff were one of the best parts of our stay. Every person we dealt with was friendly, polite, and helpful. There's an outdoor pool, but it isn't heated. The small heated indoor pool costs €24, which felt a bit over the top.

The view from the spa is breathtaking, with a mountain to the right and the village straight ahead. The staff were really nice, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner too. We had a very nice stay and would love to return.

The balcony had a great view, and there was plenty of storage in the room. The shower was lovely, the beds very comfortable, and the service was good. It's a huge hotel, though the rooms could probably use some renovation, and the floors creak. Breakfast was fabulous.
