Hotel Lago

We left with a good impression given the hotel’s rating and price. The room was spacious and clean, and the mattress was comfortable. Everything was in order, though the furniture was dated and there was perhaps a little noise between rooms.

We were pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was. My friend and I spent a weekend there during Atlantic Fest, and the room was in perfect condition with everything we needed to rest and enjoy the weekend. The service was unbeatable. The owner gave us lots of useful tips and recommendations for restaurants and transport. For a very affordable two-star hotel, it exceeded our expectations. We’d definitely stay again. We stayed for four nights and had very few complaints. The room was cleaned daily, towels were changed, there was plenty of parking, and the service was excellent. The location is perfect, too. I honestly don’t understand the rating. It is a two-star hotel, and for the price I think that’s more than fair. If I’m back in the area, I’d definitely stay here again.

The courtyard-facing window looked out onto pigeon droppings, and we were afraid to open it in case the filth got inside. You can hear everything, from footsteps upstairs to the shower next door. There wasn’t any complimentary soap or even body wash, so luckily we had hand sanitizer. It’s an old hotel.
