Ceferino Hotel

We were staying at another hotel farther down the road, but came here for a couple of evenings at the outdoor bar. The setting is stunning and the atmosphere has a lovely feel. Cocktails were fantastic, and the waiters and waitress gave great, accommodating service.

The rooms are a good size, with a waterfall shower from above, and the restaurant is good too. This is my favorite hotel in Vilanova, and I highly recommend it. Service was very helpful. You can hear noise from the corridor because the soundproofing isn’t perfect, though the rooms are well insulated from one another.

I paid 62€ for four tapas, three beers, and a juice, which felt absurd for Vilanova y la Geltru, not New York. The tapas had no flavor and seemed frozen. I didn’t even check the tasting menu. As for the welcome, the owner didn’t greet us or even say hello, and most of the staff seemed poor at dealing with customers. One waiter was friendly. There are plenty of good restaurants in Vilanova where owners and staff care about their clients and serve good food. Ceferino isn’t one of them. Disgusting, and never again.

The seafood risotto was incredible, and we had some of the best food we’ve tasted in Spain. The chef makes authentic dishes with high quality, pure ingredients. We stayed eight nights and enjoyed the breakfast, tapas, and dinner, all delicious and fairly priced for the quality. We’d recommend the place to everyone and will definitely come back.
