La Casuca del Esbardu Hotel

We could see the stars clearly at night whenever the sky was clear, and my daughters were especially fond of the adorable café. The place has a lot of charm, with lovely bathrooms and comfortable beds. We stayed six nights, and everything was very well kept, with the rooms looking recently renovated. The staff were incredibly friendly. We loved it and will definitely come back. 100% recommended.

The room had its own character, and the little loft where my son slept was a big hit with him. Everything was clean and well looked after, making it a lovely choice for a family trip. La Casuca del Esbarru is in a peaceful natural setting, with the river nearby for quiet walks or bike rides and a chance to switch off. La Franca beach in Unquera is close too. We had a delightful stay and will definitely return!

What we missed was somewhere to have dinner in the evening, even just a small lounge with a vending machine for a cold drink and a meal with the children after a day out exploring. Aside from that, the location is fantastic, the breakfasts are good, and the service was great throughout. The staff are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it.

The à la carte breakfast is homemade and nicely prepared, and the service from everyone was outstanding. The owners were always attentive to making sure our stay went as well as possible, and the receptionist and cleaning staff were great too. We’ll definitely return when we’re in the area. The accommodation is spotless, quiet, and has comfortable beds and pillows, so it’s easy to relax. I don’t understand complaints about the Wi-Fi; if internet is what you choose a place for, that says it all. It’s a 10/10 from the start, with a fantastic location just a short drive from the A8 and close to Unquera and Colombres, making it easy to get around.
