We spent two relaxing weeks in this cottage, which had everything we needed. The only small drawback was the mix of dishes, glasses, and cutlery, and cooking would have been easier with a sharp knife. It’s a small, well-kept place above the airport, where you can watch the planes for hours. The sounds of takeoffs and landings are barely audible.

The house was just what we wanted: quiet, stillness, and stars 🌟. We weren’t lucky enough to get a clear sky and new moon during our stay, but we did find the calm we were looking for. We were comfortable there, and Zuly was lovely. She welcomed us with fruit and a bottle of wine, stayed patient when we had trouble finding the place on arrival, and explained everything. The house is equipped with all the essentials. Even the hand soap smelled amazing, and we left wondering where they buy it 😅. We had a couple of hammocks, a table and chairs, and the barbecue out back at La Sabina. The property is shared with the house "La Celeste," but you can’t walk through to it. I was tempted to ask if I could go over just to take photos, since the views from that side are better and wider. We left feeling a bit sad, like we hadn’t had enough time there. The people of La Palma seem like they’re from another world, so kind and always ready to help, and so relaxed. Coming back to Madrid airport felt like the world had turned upside down. I felt completely out of place after all that peace, even though I’m from Asturias and know Madrid well because I have family there. I’d never felt that way before, not even coming back from Punta Cana, where people also take their time with everything 😄😅. We hope to return to the beautiful island, since there’s still so much we wanted to see. We rated the location lower because my partner and I both have reduced mobility. The fairly steep slope up or down to reach the house was quite difficult each time we left or returned. That’s because of our mobility limitations, and I tried to show the incline in the photos so others can judge it for themselves.

The house is cosy and comfortable, in a wonderful spot with magnificent views. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.
